At this esteemed event, there is of course the fondling of fine firearms,
some fine tuning with high tech gunsmithing tools,
and even some fabrication, with the proud stockmaker apprentice displaying his latest effort:
If there are absolutes and constants in the universe, this grin is one of them:
A bunch of good guys,
guns,
and grub. Camera batteries died before I got pics of the latter. Some are already up, more will follow I'm sure. Here are a few more shots.
I think this is Pancho, but it could be Colonel Brown has found another gun with an appetite for his thumb:
I really enjoyed getting to know some guys better, especially Bruce Day
Dustin says to Rockie, "You know what you have there?" Rockie says, "Aw **** "
There should be some shots of the Iowegians in mortal combat with spinning discs, but I'll get these up for now. Hopefully the trick shooting of Toplever Tony will be up soon, as Fourtrax has some great video of that.

I found the other file, so here are some more. At Grandpa's, we eat well
drink well
and have some of the most focused, well-trained dogs anywhere:
Not to be overlooked is the fine character of those who attend, sometimes even formally recognized by officials from the great state of Nebraska:
The Iowa bunch is a blast, and I got a few shots of them assembling, and on the course:
They are towering figures in the world of target shooting,
but try as I may, I could not get a shot of a broken clay
Some guys bring a
lot of guns. I'd never seen a 20 gun motor case before:
Two of the main reasons we eat so well:
Always fortunate to have Dustin and his expansive expertise. He is currently studying 18th century firearms and customs, shown here in his wig:
Perhaps worthy of its own caption contest, Milton provides nearly as much Flatwater fodder as Rockie:
A few more to close out another tour de pics:
