The Top Ten reasons to attend Flatwater

#1 Post by wingshooter »

As the unofficial comic relief of Flatwater (you've seen me shoot), I thought this would be a good warm up. Not limited to ten, or those who have attended. I'll get it going...

Reason number 10:

You realize the 30 man squad has only 29 'cuz Hincker is still in the head, expounding the types and uses of aircraft wing nut wrenches.
Consistency is the currency of credibility.

Reason #9: You can watch Tiny try to set another Guiness World Record in "Speed Grilling Steaks." :D :D :D

See you don't need a wrench for a wing nut because of the wings. They are intended to be finger tightened. Thus they don't get used on aircraft.

Reason 8: You get to see Tiny in all his "glory".

Tiny in a Speedo was a bit much.

Reason # 007:

Hear Flatwater's own Bond wannabe regale you (again) with accounts of his intercontinental conquests and ever expanding gun collection.
Consistency is the currency of credibility.

Reason #4

The rare ability to use vintage SxS's to shoot Sporting Clays with famous gunwriters, esteemed barristers, military heros, aging professors, elderly bankers, and assorted retired buffoons, etc. -- and to possibly inflate your self-esteem by besting them on number of birds broken.

It is on my calendar and I will see how the finances hold out. I am planning on a spring bear hunt/fishing trip to SE Alaska, so need to fund that first. I need some stimulus money. Is Flatwater getting any?

Reason # 3;

To experience and endure the scorn, ridicule, harassment, beratement, and trashing of your shooting "style" and "skills", at a level and intensity unparalleled elsewhere in the free or known world.
Consistency is the currency of credibility.

M.R., good luck with the SE Alaska bear hunt. I hope you thump a big one. I hope I make it to Flatwater this year. I hope to see all of you there.
