Flatwater 2014

#1 Post by steve voss »

Guys, this board is where we plan and prepare for our annual gathering. If we want it to continue we must all go into the "Google" topic and pledge our support and dollars. I know several attendees do not participate here, so if you know them please ask them to pitch in as well. $10 is a pittance, $20 would be better.

I thank you.

Funding the Not Board with donations rather than advertising.

And here I was hoping we had started the Flatwater 2014 topics already.

The Springfield crew were all just talking about the 2014 dates and getting them booked off the other day. Everybody is ready to go but there may be a bit of a fight over who gets to be "front seat man" in the van this year. A new guy automatically gets that position along with the responsibility of the step stool from the Syracuse Dollar Store but we might not have a new guy this year. It's a very important station in life and I can see how there would be tough competition for that slot.

It's just like everything else, if you miss a year you go to the back of the line. Let the big guy sit up front. :D

Front Seat Man is a double edged sword Steve. Sure it might be a little more comfortable up there but it's really quite a responsibility waking up to be the first out of the van, open the back doors and get that footstool properly positioned so that none of the back seat upper crust twist their ankle stepping down from too high up. There'd be hell to pay if that stool was late or malpositioned! The Front Seat Man is kinda the footman of the van and not really considered an equal.....if you know what I mean.

I know exactly. It's his fault, he's the one who re-virginized himself.

Positioning the stool of the upper crust does not sound like a fun day!

Bet that's a relief for the front seat man, then.
