GSG Event

#1 Post by steve voss »

Ok, we have enough guys that own GSG 1911s that we're having a shoot for them. We're gonna have a target course set down by the creek Saturday afternoon for any and all who want to shoot. I'll supply the targets and some extra ammo. If you have a GSG or other .22 handgun bring 'em, if you don't we'll loan you one .... or two... or more.

Looking to shoot full-auto for next year. :D

Best, sv

I don't have one. And since you have offered, I would love to borrow one !!! Since you have also offered shells also. I wish to thank you in advance. Bring plenty of extra ammo ???
I think you mean "tumblers"
The shell you buy, the gun you shoot, the size of the bore or the clerk at the store telling you what you should do doesn't determine your actions, ethics or ability.

I know of a Ruger that will outshoot those GSG's but out of respect will not borrow it.

Are shotguns still used at Flatwater?

Will you be on the lookout for those unscrupulous Flatwater fellows who might pocket the ammo you supply and then list same on Gunbroker?

I would be willing to expend a round or two of .45 to protect my .22 ammo. :D

I will throw in a couple of .22 Pistols - a Bernadoodle and a High Standard.

I'll shoot the GSG event but am new to the platform. Will bring a brick along.

Will also have an extra revolver along in 22.

When we say "event" we mean "a bunch of us will go down by the creek and shoot a bunch."

Hoist a flag to keep the shotgunners aware of "large shot size in use".

Greg, looks like we'll have a place for you to shoot my Diamondback.

There will also be a patterning board for shotgunners. As it is only 14 ga steel, shot size is limited to # 6 or smaller. It is almost 4' square, so it will be a tempting target for those of you pistoleros unable to hit regular size targets. Please refrain.

A frame and a roll of butcher paper is much easier to pattern on.
