We shoot golf balls out of my uncle's cannon but have yet to see one land, even over a plowed field. Lately, we have skipped projectiles and just enjoy the BANG, smoke, and muzzle flash. Shots at night are impressive.

Unless there is something you absolutely have to hit, the bang and flash are the best part.

I heard D size batteries make good projectiles for small bore cannons.....just sayin...

I also have a smaller cannon in my battery and I'll definitely bring it with me.

I fired one once. PVC pipe for the barrel. bigger one for the chamber, Spray hair lacquer for the propellant
a Coleman lantern igniter with a flint for ignition. Total Fun!!

I was going to make a potato cannon to bring, but then thought the US Customs might not approve when I roll up at the border.

I have a mold for a 38MM ball - it cuts into the Lead Stocks severly.
