Is it time yet?

#1 Post by David »

To start looking forward to Flatwater 2013. I'm looking forward to seeing all the old hands and some new ones. I'm sorry Don won't be there. Bruce, will you be there? I brought along a B-52 book last year that was given to me by a graphic designer who retired from Spirit AeroSystems (formerly Boeing), but you weren't there.

It's always time. Best three days of the year, every year.

1600 miles, maybe 24 driving hours. Flying might work.

Dogs will come with the truck. They like road trips.

1600 miles seems like a rather short distance to go to get to Flatwater!  Had a text message discussion with the Springfield group about renting another van to bring the whole bunch up together and Indian food for breakfast at the Syracuse Inn. The Flatwater Dental Symposium lecture will be on endodontics this year and presented at the Otoe Steakhouse on friday night. It shouldn't last all that long.....just 'til they bring out the catfish!

I don't have any need for any continuing education hours on endodontics although I do have this one bothersome third molar. Anyway I wouldn't mind tagging along on the dinn, . . ah symposium. I've heard you guys talk about the Otoe Steakhouse.

Syracuse, NE. You want to stay at the Syracuse Inn & Suites located at the Hwys 2 and 50 intersection.

We have steak sat. eve. Larry often has some vino around. Many bring a bottle of their fav or something interesting to sit on the "bar" to sample. It is up to you, no mandate.

We need you to drive safe. The party, uh... gathering starts Friday afternoon around 1500.

uh, where would the "gathering" be?

Bringing wine, dogs, cameras, wine, maybe a gun or two, and oh, did I mention some wine?

Will look for something special for the crowd. Anticipated number of attendees?

Thanks Stack.

Oh, and as an aside I am looking for a black gun. If anyone has one for sale??????

The venue is Grandpa's Sporting Acres 2404 Co rd. E Syracuse, NE. 68446

From your hotel it is 3.75 miles north on highway 50, there is a cement plant and water tower on at the intersection, turn left or west and go 3 miles to Grandpa's on the south (left) side. The road to Otoe, location of the previously mentioned steakhouse is to the right(east) at that intersection, you will see the sign. The roads here are on a 1 mile grid mostly.

As an aside consider the poly lower via Utah, the rest is just parts, no restrictions or recording requirements.
