Anyone bringing a gas auto?

There should be a Flatwater rule of "No gas guns..no intertia guns", and the only auto's allowed are to be Cosmi's and American designed or made recoil operated classics. :D

Dustin, if black rifles are permitted, and since I am driving a long way, and paying a good buck for the privilege of being there, and I'd like to shoot what I bring, then I suggest some of us have a 5 man Friday squad with those of us with our gas guns, separate from the snotty cognoscenti 25 man squad with their fancy sxs. I promise to use my 1100 only on Friday. If this is a big issue, then I will be forced to bring my 12 ga 1100 with the Polychoke and shoot that Saturday!! So there!!!!!
Looking forward to this, old buddy.....
Mikey, or should I say, thanks to Atticus' intervention, Colonel Mcbragg, it's all Atticus' fault!. He made me do it!! I am practising the Colonel's accent which is a bit different to my regular one, say what! etc

I'm pure so far. I brought my Super-X M1 once but only for show-n-tell, and only shot my A5.

Mike, why not include the O/U guys among the cognoscenti? What tops a Woodward O/U, among others?

I'd be all for a progression/regression set of squads, start with the bolt action guys, go through the gas autos to the pumps, the other autos, the SxS and O/U, then the hammer guns. Have a monitor at each station to record the relative grace/snootiness/dress of the various groups? Throw out the highs and lows, in all probability Tiny will qualify as both, and post the results?

Alright, I'll bring the Beretta and a huge tube of KY Jelly, just in case the Slip 2000 experiment does not work out! If my gun fails to cycle, perhaps "Commander (Mikey!) McBragg" can lube it up for me!

Should those of us humble plebeians shooting semi's, pumps or bolts wear bib overalls and old straw hats? If so, the patricians with doubles have to wear plus-four trousers, silk stockings, brogues, neckties and tweed jackets! We'll send your pictures to F.S. in Chicago, so he will see that the "march of fruitery" has come to the Flatwater!!
